In other news, ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante recently told BoulderWeekly.com that his band are focused on restoring the legacy of inventive, aggressive music that they started over 20 years ago.
"I just think music, in general, is at an all-time low," he said. "The past five years have been the worst time for music. There's not one bit of originality. I don't want to come down on all that stuff, because some good bands came out of all of that. But for the most part, no one had any identity. All they were doing was just taking the exact same thing, even down to the stage moves… It's just so unoriginal and uninspiring.
"A lot of these bands are just screaming," he continues. "It's like you go see an action movie, and for 90 minutes if it's just all explosions but there's no story, then what's the point? I can stand in front of my house and blow shit up and enjoy that."
